Librarians can use the form below to register to screen the film. The film is accompanied by a free educator guide filled with hands-on activities related to the film. YES!  The giant screen experience is worth the trip! Many giant screen theaters are showing the film in 3D IMAX!

  • When can I schedule viewings of Cities of the Future

Earth Day is April 22, 2025. One-time screenings may be scheduled between Saturday, April 19th and Sunday, April 27th.

  • How do I arrange a screening at my public library?

You’ll need to contact your local public library to let them know of this opportunity. You may want to suggest partnering with the library to offer hands-on activities or other related programs along with the film screening. The librarian should fill out the form below to receive a streaming link for Cities of the Future.

  • What kind of screen is required to show the film?

This film was produced for the giant screen and immersive sound of the IMAX format. Since library screenings will not be in IMAX, you will have the best experience if you screen the film in an auditorium with high-quality projection and sound. The theater will need to be able to stream the film.

  • Is there a cost?

There is no licensing fee to show the film, but there is a $5 convenience fee to obtain the streaming link from the Vimeo platform. The link will be available for 72 hours to allow for technical testing before the event.

  • Can we charge admission?

No. These is a special program intended for the public.

  • Can we solicit sponsors?

Absolutely! We encourage you to seek a sponsor to cover your costs.
